Psychedelic Sleepover was the first of an annual, fully immersive psychedelic camping experience with world class bass music, live art, + more! It was a 1-day, 1-night festival located at Page Farm in Croydon, NH (Midwestern part of the state) on June 3rd, 2017.

Featuring... ★ 14 Musical Acts on a single stage ★ Shady Campgrounds (camping included w/ ticket purchase) ★ State Of The Art Sound System provided by Hennessey Sound Design ★ Custom 3-D Mapped Stage Design courtesy of Little Village ★ Live Painting, Body Painting, Art Gallery ★ Flow + Fire Performances ★ Food + Craft Vendors ★ Late-Night Movies ★ Pillow Fights ★ Pizza Parties ★ Much, Much More!
I personally was able to show up at around 2pm. Me and my buddy decided not to set up a camp site, but we saw the wooded area with the tents - it looked like most people in attendance would be staying the night. There were at least 500 attendees (rough estimate) of this festival.
There was one stage set up on the other side of the camp site. The set up was fairly basic, a raised platform with an overhead roof - almost like a wide open barn or something. The DJs decks were on basic fold out tables (a bit under classy if you ask me, if there were tarps or anything over the tables that would have made a big difference visually in my opinion). The art in the backdrop of the stage was nice - very colorful and trippy designs.

My favorite sets that I saw were from artists, "Bad Habit," and "Kayla Scintilla."
Bad Habit's tracks were blended with a few industry standards such as "Dum Dee Dum" by Keys and Krates (one of my personal favorites). He also played a new original called, "Is It A Banger" which doesn't seemed to be released yet on his Soundcloud.
Kayla Scintilla was a hell-of-a-unique live experience. I kept telling people around me that if I were to try to describe the performance to someone who wasn't there, that it would be extremely difficult to do - but that's what I'm about to try here: This artist played a set full of what I am going to call "forest beats." It literally sounded like you were in the middle of the rain forest at night during the set. Vocals were hummed and chanted into the mic, as animal sounds and beats prevailed from the speakers. See a list of all other music and arts performers below.
Speaking of the speakers, you'll never guess who did the sound for this festival................HENNESSEY SOUND DESIGN!!! This business is seemingly booming around the New England area as I keep seeing its name popping up all over the place for shows. See my previous write-up on this company to learn more about Hennessy Sound Design, here. The audio was great throughout the festival - the speakers (bass and kicks) were literally set up on the ground in front of the stage, so it was quite easy to "feel" the beats as they poured out of the speakers and into our ears.
About the other aspects of the festival - the vendors were cool and the fried food I tried from the stationed food truck was great. The vendor I personally checked out had a lot of "glassware" that was hand made - very unique stuff for seemingly inexpensive prices. There was also a lot of cool, "trippy" art on display and for sale. As for my favorite side performance, it had to be the fire dancers. Each one had unique talents and a variety of "fire-staffs" and sticks and other instruments of fire wielding. They came out right as the sun went down, and they were quite impressive.

One of the coolest parts of this experience was simply the atmosphere and good vibes I was getting from the crowd. I didn't see one fight, I barely saw any cell phones out, and there was a lot of dancing and overall expression. Everyone was just living in the moment, meeting new people and chatting with each other about the show, about where they were from, etc. Side comment: I've never seen so many people with dreadlocks in my life - it was awesome!
My last comment is about the staff and one negative aspect of the festival. Most of the employees of the festival were volunteers. I would like to commend their hard work here as many of them put on LONG hours. Thank you very much for all of your hard work in putting this festival together.
Now, if I had to pick a worst part about this experience, it would have to be the parking. It didn't seem like the volunteers had much experience dealing with properly lining up cars, and I heard horror stories of people trying to get out the next morning. Some had to wait hours before being clear or other cars to get out. Another factor was the mud - it rained slightly before the event and a bit during, so the fields were fairly wet. Many cars got stuck in the mud and created hour+ long hold ups. Of course, that really wasn't anyone's fault, just very frustrating. Hopefully the rain holds off next year and for years to come.
One final special thanks to the members and affiliates of Page Farm for allowing their area to be the venue for this production, and to Taproot Productions for putting on the festival itself. I would really like to get in contact with a member of this company and work with him/her in the future! Considering that it was their first time putting this festival on, the weather, and all other factors, I give my overall experience and 8.25 out of 10! Psychedelic Sleepover is an event I would definitely try at least once if you're a fan of EDM and good cultured people. Be on the lookout for next year's details!
