"Something Just Like A Hymn for Roses" might just be the easiest mashup I have ever compiled. I literally put it together in minutes. I know it's not a great production, but there's no doubt the songs blend together pretty well -- see for yourself!
Listen closely as The Chainsmokers first created the "Roses" beat in mid 2015, then half a year later Coldplay came out with "Hymn For the Weekend" using a similar chord progression, and finally about a whole year after that the two collaborated and committed copyright infringement on themselves (LOL) by creating the collaboration, "Something Just Like This"!! This is a mashup artist's dream come true, and I don't know how I didn't realize it sooner...(being totally serious here). I know I'm not the first one to make this discovery as a quick search on Youtube will yield countless mashups of "Roses" and "Something Just Like This." To further add insult to injury (sorry, Chainsmokers), watch this "tutorial video" on how to create a Chainsmoker's hit...Lol
This is some funny stuff for sure, but don't get me wrong - I have the ultimate respect for The Chainsmokers - anyone at the top has a lot of pressure on them at all times (to say the least), yet they keep pumping out hits!
