"MegaChop Volume 2 drops tomorrow >:) "
- That was posted to Squnto's Facebook over 24 hours ago...let's just say I've been refreshing his Soundcloud Page over an over again today in preparation for the new mix. It should drop soon, and if it's anything like the first volume (below), then I'm pumped (and you should be too).
I heard about this producer and DJ a little over a month ago, and I've been obsessed. The live element he brings to his shows is INCREDIBLE. He has tons of energy and talent that only a small portion of the EDM scene has had the privilege of witnessing so far.
If you haven't already, take a quick look at the video above...it's almost an hour long...and the way each song seamlessly blends with the next, and the previous, and then with 2 others, and then take away one song and add two others, and ... you get the point. The amount of preparation and knowledge Squnto demonstrates in these live "chops" is impressive to say the least. He really knows his music, and that's clear.
On this "double drop" video which I found on his Facebook, Eric "Squnto" Roth replied hilariously to a comment which read:
"Wait so you are mixing live? I thought the chops were premixed in cubase or whatever software and the choping was the live part but I'm seeing tables. What gives?! Is Squnto even more awesome than I thought?"
Squnto's reply was perfect:
"yeah plot twist i also make tunes and *gasp* can play on CDJs xD"
That plot twist line though hahaha.

Squnto is extremely interactive with his fans if you couldn't already tell. That plus extreme talent will be why this guy gets big. The last time he was in the Boston area was on 11/11/16, when he performed a chop set at Middle East in Cambridge, MA. I can't wait until he comes back, and I wont miss it for anything!
